In this section you will be informed on issues such as your Greater Fredericksburg USBCA Youth Committee members, their responsibilities, upcoming events, as well as accomplishments of the youth bowlers within the association.

The Youth Committee is comprised of five members, three adults and two youth bowlers. The adult members are elected and serve on the associations Board of Directors. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with the board in looking for ways to improve our association, protect our members, and host and manage local tournaments. The adult youth committee members are Richard Bergey, recording secretary, Gerald Charlwood and myself, who serves as the chairman. Mr. Bergey and I serve as Coaches and administrators with the Saturday Youth Legends under the supervision of Brenda Chambers which bowl at Liberty Center Massaponax. Mr. Charlwood is the director of the Fredericksburg City Strikers, which bowl at AMF Fredericksburg. The youth members are Tom Brady and Chelsea Mills. Tom has been on the committee for two years and has assisted at numerous tournaments and events hosted by our association. Chelsea has been a member for approximately six months. The youth members are recommended to the full board for approval when an opening exists.

Youth leagues are for any youth up to 21 years of age who have not bowled in a USBC certified league as an adult.  Certified youth leagues are available at AMF Fredericksburg (540-786-2695), Liberty Center Massaponax (540-710-7467) and Liberty Center Stafford (540-659-3866).  To participate in a league contact the center of your choice.  Leagues generally bowl on Saturday mornings.
